Welcome to the E30 Zone Soundtrack Source Thread. Within you will find everything you need to acquire the songs legitimately and print the art work. Unfortunately due to licencing laws, we are unable to distribute this as a finished article. So here's how to get round it.

Here's the artwork:

CD inlay:

Front Cover:

Rear Cover:

The track list is on the back cover, as well as the CD label.

Itunes is the obvious choice for legitimate downloads, not overly expensive. An alternative is www.gomusic.ru

Gomusic is a Russian site, legal and legitimate. Due to Russian licencing laws, cheap as fook. Not exhaustive but a great place to start. Zoners may wish to trawl its archives. At about $1.30 (80p) an album, it's a site worth bookmarking.

So aquire the music yourself, either burn it to a CD or add it to your ipod. Save the artwork to the same folder (right click "save as") and ipods should pick it up.

If anyone else can recommend legal download sites, I understand Napster is ready to launch a new site, please link them here.

If anyone can offer high quality printing service, then please indicate here.

So there it is, the Zone soundtrack, for you to enjoy in which ever way you prefer. On your mp3 player, in your cd player, your stereo, on your computer etc etc.

Please no guides to illegally acquiring songs by means of Limewire, Torrents or by emailing tracks to each other. The whole point is to have something the zone can share without fear of reprisal or tarnishing the zone in anyway. Please feel free to ask questions.
Enjoy!

I'm really pleased with the whole project, from tracks through to artwork. Reckon it would make a good gym CD too.

wheres mine Nathan? Whats all this mentioned about volume 2? Is volume 2 where you put all the good music that you couldnt fit onto Volume 1 because it was full of rubbish? I have a shortlist if this ever finds its way past the 'middle finger' status.

I thought it was a great selection, even though I added No More Heroes by The Stranglers onto the end of mine :flipbird:

I tend to change my music on an almost daily basis - tonight I was even playing Genesis on my way home from work! :o:
I would assume the majority have access to CD burning software and can make up CDs to suit their own tastes, but it IS good to have an "official" Zone Soundtrack too.

i was, of course only messing. The selection is good, if slightly bias in genre. I have a wide music taste, so can appriciet almost everything. I was brought up on much of the tracklist.

Just for Scott :flipbird:

I grew up on Hip Hop, early house/rave etc, motown, soul and funk. My ipod has Led Zep alongside Duran Duran, Altern8, Nas, Kasabian, Edan and a plethora of other stuff.

Genesis are cool!

This album for me was not about genre, but about emotive music which moves people. IMO the lack of modern music is more a reflection on the processed nature of the modern sound. It certainly fulfills a purpose, I'll finish making my copy tomorrow, then go and hoon the shit out of my touring!!

Liquid is also difficult to get hold of. Too many remixes.. Think I have it, though it may be mid-mix....

I've not got a printer or anything over here, so if someone actually prints the covers and makes a cd case out of them, post up a pic - I'd love to see how the designs look in the flesh 8)

You must have joined about the time voting commenced! I'd recommend you burn it off and give it a couple plays, you may be surprised. There's plenty on there I wouldn't listen to; Stones, Mac, etc, but in context it sounds fantastic.

Think Dave was offering services as a printer so perhaps he can help?

Thanks for the encouraging words, it makes it all worth while. If you're open minded about your music and discribe your taste as 'eclectic', like I do, if you can listen through that CD and not skip a song, then have a listen to this reccommendation:

Pendulum - In Silico

I wasn't a huge fan of their first album, though I love Slam. This album kind of rewrites dance music, like Prodigy did in the mid 90's. Many will be familiar with Propane Nightmares, the album continues much along the same theme, fusing unforgiving drum and bass beats, breakbreat, hard rock, electronica together in a psychotic melting pot.

Pendulum have written an album which achieve what I wanted to achieve with the Zone soundtrack, bringing together styles under one banner, regardless of origin or age. The banner for the Pendulum album is awesomness.

A warning to 4 pot owners, listen to this in your car at your own peril: you'll blow your car up trying to keep up with this frenetic album!! It's a bonafide licence killer!!!

(Just in case you missed it, this album is good. Get it. Hear it. Like it.)

Just wanted to say that the cover art is very nice. Of course I'd like to have done better but my principle aim at the time was to show something real simple and not steal any limelight. Honest :)

Nice job Nathan sir!
