Hey chaps,i have a set of se skirts on the touring at the mo but will soon be taking possesion of some tech 1 jobbies, will the fitting clips/locations be the same for both?I know i'll have to add a couple more holes as the tech 1's extend up the arches.Basically will it be a pop on pop off thing or is that wishful thinking on my part?

I dont have a clue if the holes in the sill will be in the correct place but your better off moving the poppers on the skirt to match the ones on the touring. Nelly will know.shane320ii wrote:Hey chaps,i have a set of se skirts on the touring at the mo but will soon be taking possesion of some tech 1 jobbies, will the fitting clips/locations be the same for both?I know i'll have to add a couple more holes as the tech 1's extend up the arches.Basically will it be a pop on pop off thing or is that wishful thinking on my part?

You need to get the fittings for the extended parts of the skirts where they join at the front arch. They are very cheap and you only really need one for each arch. You can get away with bonding them to the body as opposed to drilling holes.
The bottom clips I think are different to the SE ones. May be worth seeing how much a set of these cost from Paul
Not pop off pop on I'm afraid

Whenever possible avoid drilling new holes in your car, you're giving rot an easy way in. Bonding adhesive is extremely strong and will make an excellent job, just leave it for a day with a little pressure holding the skirt in position (breeze blocks with a pillow in front work great for skirts, g-clamps along the bottom of the door opening etc). This is of course if the correct holes are not already there. If you get any adhesive on your paint use white spirit to remove it. Hope that helps.
