ill have a look tomorrow at the front speakers to see if the wires are connected to them fine, if they are then im clueless

You can test the speakers by wiring a 1.5V battery across them briefly - you should hear a click or thud as it moves the cone in and out.

Just remembered i have a fader, could that be the problem?

Yes, possibly - you're better off using the fader built into most modern stereos rather than the old dashboard type ones, as they tend to induce crackle.

im not sure how it works, is there a wire from it to the speakers or what mate?

Yes - it goes between the head unit and the speakers. It's just a rheostat (variable resistor).

so its actually connected to the speaker cable? and would this actually cause them not to work at all?

Possibly, if it's a duff unit - try varying it...

not sure if this is good news or not, connected the yellow wires to rear speakers and the rear left came on, nothing came from the blue though.. this also means i have no front speakers? :S and only one working rear haha
the only wires left i have is the white one and a grey one with a red line through it?

Some further invesigation, yellow wires are actually to both left rear and left front so they are hooked up, unfortunately the blue wires are giving me nothing
think ill just deal with left speakers until i get my upgrades..
what size are the rears guys?
