they are flatteneing off the imperfections in the paint (clear coat) with 1000 and 2000 grade sand paper (wet), then they polish with a fine polishing paste and circular buffing machine, then Sonax polish on top of that. This FYI is also the same technique as the local Mercedes dealer and they also recommend 72 hours min before touching fresh paint to let it fully harden. they have done the boot today and i am extreamly happy with the results.

Yeah, thats the stage i am at too. Little grains of dust have have got into the booth from somewhere and he is going to sand it down with really fine sand paper. And then he going to use some special polish compound stuff that brings out the shine even more than now.

It needs new sparkys, a few trimmings are missing and the little matter of M.O.T. and tax are still needed. Oh and by the way,if Sal see's this i sent you an email mate to arrange a time and day for you to came and fit the zone chip for me please.
I shall post some pics of her complete.Could be a while but worth the wait i hope.

From what I remember it just clips in, take of the plastic 10mm nut, clip the trim on and then tighten nut on the bolt from the inside of the door. The thing is how does the passenger door bump stop clip on?

South Park Drive, hell yeah ! I got family all over Ilford. Nearest cousins to you are on Kenilworth Gardens, just off Green Lane. Suppose you take a detour pass Imperials now and again.Giggz wrote:Thanks dude! Good luck in finding your motor. The guy did mine in his spare time while working for his old man at the same time.
