TNG21- your ride looks bootiful in gloss black, thanks for the piccy. What wheels you got on there by the way?
I saw the paint guy and he recommended a paint that is a gloss black but with a slight glitter to it when the light hits it. Looks quite nice and not something i have seen an E30 covered in as yet.
At the moment the primer has been smoothed off. He looking to have it done by Monday for me so will be a nice way to kick off the new year.

just doing mine too, wont tell you how much cause you'll be sick
, was considereing jet black but the dust is hard enough to keep off of diamond black, so think it would be too much cleanin, plus stickin to same colour means no need to spray the engine bay and other fiddly bits.

Personally I like the crome and the wheels, alpina if anything. Sorry back on topic now.
Matt Black would look very different, but somehow I love the shiney look.

Swindy. Did you paint that mate? Cellulose is old hat, although ive heard its reall easy to use, 50/50 thinners and then wetsand+ buff.
Thinking of doing some repairs on my alpina white E30 and using cellulose in my garage as a first time spray job.

That was done by a mate of mine out doors!!!! Its a good finish and yes very easy to spray, so long as the surface is flat and use tac rags its a mint finish and deeper that a laquered finish any day. Love it.

Nice one mate, dont supose you could email me some hi-res shots?
swirlyflake99@hotmail.com
ive just ordered some primer/spray gun to go with my new compressor, gonna give priming some panels a go at the weekend (cellulose) , ive read a few things about using cellulose and it seems pretty easy to work with, spray, wet sand, buff, monkeys could do it lol.
What colour is yours mate?

very nice, as yours was sprayed after mine it makes it the shiniest E30 on the zone!!!
looks good, make sure he leaves it a few days (min 72 hrs) before cutting the clear coat and splash out on a high quality polish too, results will be worth it!!
mrlee (2nd shiniest E30 on da zone
