The amp is Vibe Slick A7 1300w monoblock

why is it every link you post is from ebay, lol and space them out please it helps!.
dont waste your money on any of these:
pyle - great for a paper weight
lanzar - not bad subs but over rated.
Vibe - not bad sub quite good design
Infinity - now your talking , installed many of the 12" version's and they can take a good beating. and with two of them wired in parrel, see image below.

you will have a perfect match with your amp:) 1ohm load and 750 rms go for it.

Sorry dude
 , what can i say, i'm a ebayaholic

That infinity is 10" though, will it still sound good? Will the amp be able to handle 2 of these subs?

yes they will sound just as good and as the box being ported it will be better as you have more cone are then a single 12" , your amp is rated at 750watts rms @ 1 ohms , the subs are rated at 350watts rms each that will be 700watts total so you will have 50watts of head room on the amp which is a good thing. so the answer to your question is : Yes it will run with ease:) i post up a graph showing the output level in there optimium box.

If they are 4 ohm sub's. Then doubled up they will be drawing a 2 ohm load. Not 1 at 750 watt's.sati wrote:yes they will sound just as good and as the box being ported it will be better as you have more cone are then a single 12" , your amp is rated at 750watts rms @ 1 ohms , the subs are rated at 350watts rms each that will be 700watts total so you will have 50watts of head room on the amp which is a good thing. so the answer to your question is : Yes it will run with ease:) i post up a graph showing the output level in there optimium box.

Zaust: they are dual 4 ohm per sub lol, so two DVC sub=4coils of 4ohm each= 1ohm overall (wired in paralellzaust wrote:If they are 4 ohm sub's. Then doubled up they will be drawing a 2 ohm load. The guy who is doing the wiring will probably do it in about a couple of hours. The guy who is making the box and fitting can only start this on friday so that's why it going to take a bit longer. He can only work evenings as well so that doesn't help

The guy who is doing the wiring does this job full time, the guy who is making the box and port does this part time (he works at Costco also)Perhaps it is not they're only job???
He will need to get some MDF, Carpet, and other bits and bobs as wellMaybe they need to order in a couple of bits!!!
If they are then a good kick up the ar*se should sort that outMaybe they are just a bit slow!! Lol!!!!

It is but Derby is expensive for things like this coz not many people can do it, so when you go to someone who can they charge top dollar. Well i only work 5 mins from their unit so i pop in every hour lol. I'll try to take some pics as wellsati wrote:yep £600 is a lot for the job being done, try to keep on top of them , stick around while its getting done, so they cant slack off.

I wish mate but no-one seams interested. We got Bass Junkies but they charge ridiculous prices. Also Car Electronics, they charged a guy £400 to fit one 8" sub in a e36 cab

Bass Junkies are a joke...really haven't got a clue what they're talking about...Car electronics know their shit, but are way too pricey.. I got quoted £800+ for the box i wanted in my sunny for the 4 15's, and that's without any covering/fibreglass finish to it either, and that was a very basic box...just big with 1 single port at the back firing into the back window!ImysE30 wrote:I wish mate but no-one seams interested. They're the one's who did the install for Cavalier Mushy's system! But as he used them alot they did him a good price...but to be fair he was making paper back then with his import business so even if they did it expensive he would've still had it done!
Just no scope for it in derby though...the scene isn't big enough to make it worthwhile! Too many chavs out there who are happy to put MotorWorld crap in their cars!

Thats way too expensive, i didn't even bother going down for a quote. I've heard a couple of cars that they have done and for the money it cost them, the sound wasn't even that good.Bass Junkies are a joke...really haven't got a clue what they're talking about...Car electronics know their shit, but are way too pricey.. I use them often, they did my Honda Civic for me so he did give a good price. If it wasn't for him then i would have tried to do it myself but i know i would have fooked it up somewhereThey're the one's who did the install for Cavalier Mushy's system! Tell me about it man, no-one hardly does car sound systems in derby, all the chavs either do it themselves who go to MotorWorld.Just no scope for it in derby though...the scene isn't big enough to make it worthwhile! Too many chavs out there who are happy to put MotorWorld crap in their cars!

Although would not wire up the same as the pic, due to one sub drawing more power than the other.
no probs mate, pics can be rather slow sumtimes , both subs will get the same power from the amp , you cant wire it up any other way to get the 1 ohm load need to get the most out of the amp. but maybe iam wrong so can you explain why you think one will be more powerful then the other when both subs are the same.
my local motor world closed down the shop/stuff is still there but ist never open anymore. as they were cheap on car service parts and the cheapest sub the sold were the "splx" for £8 for 10" and like £12 for 12"
and they were really good for there price and not over rated (350peak on the 10") i still got a pair in a custom bandpass box (50 -70hz) and they still kick nice and lould

zaust in this application sati is right, you basically short out the inputs/outputs on the DVC making effectively a 2ohm load for each cone unit, wired both in parallel gives a 1 ohm load.
both subs will share the load equally and thus receive the same power (unless you count the voltage drop from one sub to the other - which will be negligable compared to differing internal resistance in the coils/heat generation etc etc)
although quite interesting i would be really interesting to know how much better all this is gonna sound compared to my original and much simpler box, as i am planning a fit out for my tin top i may do a side by side test, mu gut feeling is they will not sound much different when compared to the additional price and hassle.
good luck and please post some pics
