I don't see what's wrong with the stock speaker location providing you spend some money and buy decent speakers.

Although i agree the grilles should be black, the positioning in the doors like that is better for stereo imaging, allows bigger speakers, and gives the speakers the whole doorspace as an enclosure, not the crappy standard pods

I used to have a shitty old rover, and it came with some focal speakers int he back (£285!!!) and some components up front again focal (£595!)

so a car I paid £500 came with nearly a grandsworth of speakers lol They were kevlar or summa,t shit hot dont get me wrong but fuck spending that much on speakers.

I've well gone off ICE dunno if I'm getting old or just more of a petrolhead? I prefer engines

The only common thing between the manufacturers is the size, the way that they work (eg fixed magnet, moving coil attatched to cone), and the fact that most are co-axial or tri-axial systems

I can honestly say im surprised he gets any business if he's telling customers that 6x9s are all basically the same

Lets not get out of hand here both of you lol. It one thing having a budget for a system but if you were going to spend 1-2k then installed that properly, it would hammer the life out of a 150 quid install, even if it was installed properly
