hi sati...was the shelf really that easy to cut?? i have some big heavy boss 6x9's i wanna fit....shall i go no spacers an just cut an drop em in?did you cut from the top or bottom of the shelf. im gonna try an fit em this weekend

the metal shelf was butchered before i got the car , i did make the holes bigger to fit my speakers, used mdf to "replace" the strength in the rear, and also stop any vibration in the back.

the other way you could do it is to cut out x2 pieces of mdf larger than the speakers, carpet them and sit them on top of the shelf with your speakers in, you will probably have to cut out some of the metal shelf.
