What do you guys reckon? Stick with the chrome look, or go black?
Keep in mind that Il be getting the windows tinted soon, SE side skirts in black and a tech 1 spoiler.
Which would look better?
Chrome
Shadowline

I was thinking the same thing, its just the chrome close up is gone funny.
I think it is oxidisation but unsure, I have tried my best with some Autosol to try and get rid of it but I can't.
Can anyone reccomend a product to get rid of the build up?

the chrome looks much better in them pics compared with shadowline but IMO with tinted windows it wouldn't look right

On the BMW 3 Series models from 1990 to 1991, the exterior trim was updated slightly to receive new body colored front and rear bumpers as well as a blacked out window trim instead of chrome as on the early models. My car was manufactured right at the cutoff between years, so while it does have the body colored front and rear bumpers, it does not have the blacked out window trim. Instead it features the chrome trim.

Do you reckon its safe to spray them wilst there on?
Tape everything up around them and use newspaper.
Its just they can break quite easily I have heard trying to get them off.

i would buy a original set (already Shadowline) or buy a another chrome set and spray them properly, i wouldnt take the risk of spraying them on the car. if you dont do it right the paint will just flake off and look crap

No the chrome is likely to be original.
The term `Chromie` refers to pre facelift models ie chrome bumpers
