What's the best/easyest way to remove the original tweeters from the tweeter pods (mirror triangles)? I would like to replace them with my JBL tweeters but the original ones are glued into the pods.

get a sharp blade and cut:slice out. the glue that holds the tweeter in is quite brittle; so you should be able to prise it out once you have serated the glue:

get new covers, less hassle than injurying yourself with a blade ouch!!!
and sell the old ones with the covers in turn saving some else hassle!

I assume from that post, you can buy the covers without the tweeters fitted then?

Nope, the new mirror pods come with shite Nokia tweeters already fitted. You can't buy empty pods.

Sharp knife or a Dremel are the tools of choice for removing the old ones. I use silicone sealer to refit the replacements.

i assumed you get the standard ones without the tweeter, did not realise it come be oem with a tweeter built in thought these cars were too old for that may be in early 90s i don't know though 8)
