Twas my birthday last week and one of my pressies was a paint job for the Schnitzer front lip I've been meaning to fit to the 318i for ages. Had an evening free through the week so i decided to fit it:

Pulled off the bumper:

Decided to carry on my anti-colour coding agenda by giving the valance a few coats of satin black:

Bolted on the freshly painted splitter, I love the way it lines up with the shape of the front fogs:

Then as an afterthought the next day I went and grabbed a spare set of front grilles and sprayed them black:

So the car as it stands with its AC Schnitzer front and rear spoilers. I'd like to get my hands on the matching rear valance bit, but I'll be using something from a different kit for the sides.

The colour match isn't absolutely perfect, but I reckon once the rest of the car has had a good polish then it'll blend in better 8)

To be honest I've actually been thinking of giving the bumpers, mirrors, rubbing strips and window surrounds a fresh coat of satin black as well. Quite like the way it contrasts against the Calypso paintwork!

Ties in with my black interior, spoiler, carpets, parcel shelf etc.

....although you might be right.....

.... maybe it could look good with just the top and bottom bits of the bumper colour coded, with the inserts sprayed black.... I'll have to give that some thought! 8)

Looks good. I wouldnt have thought the black valance with red splitter would work but it looks yummy.

They're quite rare and difficult to find. I waited ages to find someone selling one on ebay.de that was willing to post it to the UK.

All in all for the splitter and postage to here it cost me about 150 quid. The annoying thing is that AC Schnitzer were selling off their remaining stock of these just a couple of weeks previously, but by the time I'd found someone in Germany willing to take delivery and forward it on to me they had sold out (They were going mega cheap, 95 euros each, brand new. Delivery only to German addresses)

Saying that, iirc a lightly damaged one went for about 30 or 40 quid not that long ago on ebay UK.

I don't have the rear skirt yet, just the matching rear spoiler (it's made of Kevlar! very 007!)
