Dynamating; Where,how much and why?

Well where's the best place to get this from?
Do you put it behind the front/rear speakers?
Do you notice the difference?

dynamat is superb stuff mate. it reduces/stops panel vibration and so needs to go around speakers and in the centre of any large unribbed panels e.g. outer door skins, rear quarters. it makes for better sound quality, more volume and less road noise in the cabin. do as little or as much as you like, the only downside is its weight. see also dynamat's own website.

Dynamat is indeedy great stuff. I've used a almost a whole bulk pack in one install.

An alternative thats a bit cheaper is bodyline. Its kind of like the OEM stuff/ dynamat original. Keep it in a warm place overnight - that ways its easier to work with. Also a heatgun will help you shape it round things.

ONE bulkpack??? Im looking at using THREE when i do my sport out!!! (whole floorpan, over prop tunnel, both doors, rear skins, bulkhead, boot/cabin wall etc etc etc) that will be one very quiet e30 when im finished!

Cool I was thinking about weight so didnt go the whole way ;) Used about 5 rolls in the boot and the rest in the doors (this went into an E46 coupe). I have an IB sub between the rear seats so most when into damping the boot

Its not gonna be a racer, its gonna be a cruiser. lol

If i'd left the rust in the car instead of having it re-welded, id still be saving weight even with 135kg of dynamat.

tsk tsk scott, that's not keeping it original...and replacing those rusty arches god intended it to be rusty and it's the original arches so you shouldn't replace them...
