I'm in the process of building the new amp enclosure. It's a tight squeeze, but I think I can get it all in.
I've also got a bit of wiring ahead of me

Ian.

My alpina has 6.5 fitted front and rear, but somehow i don't think they have been fitted aswell as yours! But from what i can tell u is theres no rub on the glove box when opening and it still has the E30 bonnet release.
Hey Ian,
I am building a similar amp/sub enclosure and I plan to have my subs in the same spot. But, I'm a bit worried that the sound will be muffled with the armrest up.
How does the bass sound when the armrest is up? Is there a huge difference?
Thanks!

It makes little or no difference having the arm rest up or down.
Cheers,
Ian.

That's actually my old install. You can follow the progress of my new one here:

I actually got the carpet from Huet's car audio in Hove. It's not a perfect match, but it's close enough

There's a label on the packaging that says 'M A Distributors'. A quick google found this http://www.ma-d.net/.
It's just called Grey trunk liner carpet NA31 (2 metres x 1.2 Metres).
Cheers,
Ian.
