Hi I've had some vibe speakers in my parcel shelf running off the head unit for a long time and never realy been overly impressed with them although I don't realy listen to music in my car than much.
I recently fitted some cheap alpine components in to the footwell pods and they are a lot better sounding the the vibes but after trying to work out why the cheap ones are better than the dearer ones I think its probably because I need to run an amp on them.
There a few years old now but here is what I have.
Vibe K series se
345watt peak
115watt rms
Seperate tweeters

I've been out of the ICE seen for ages and can't remember what type of amp I need.
Can I use a 2channel or does it need to be a 4? What sort of watt. I'm not after a expensive one but at the same time I don't want some cheap crap.
Any ideas, Matt?
recommend me an amp plz

with all respect to rish318i it's no good recommending one manufacturer and stating that they are the best amps ever. all manufacturers have good and bad amps in their ranges and amps sound different to different ears. in my opinion rockford fosgate stuff usually sounds a bit harsh when pushed and is not brilliantly made.
what you don't state appletree is any kind of budget, where you might want to mount any amps and what you are looking for in your sound, all key information towards an informed choice.
as an opening gambit this might do the job:

these v12s and the range before were well made with decent componentry, could be pushed hard and sounded warm with good detail. imagery was not quite what it could be if you have to pick holes. this 4 channel example will fire around 35 watts at each corner and should be worth around 50-60 final selling price so won't break the bank.

i saw a doctor and she gave me some pills....

Thanks placey, i was thinking around £60-80 and idealy quite compact with a view to mounting on the boot floor or at an angle on the back of the back seats.
