Nice addition to my E30

Just up dated the ICE in my E30, I was getting a little pissed off with the fact that my current head unit struggled to play copied CD’s and wouldn’t play MP3’s plus that fact that it had blue illumination which didn’t fit in well with the E30 dash at all and also didn’t match the illumination of the Alpine media centre.

Before I was running the Alpine CDA 7876RB which was a cracking unit and has served me well over the last 7 or 8 years

Old Set up...............



My new head unit is the Alpine CDA 7998, a ”aDead Head”a with no internal amplifier and the sound quality is amazing. As soon as I plugged it in I noticed a dramatically improved sound quality without even attempting to adjust any settings what so ever and believe me it’s got a fair few setting to play around with!

Yep still working fine just need a LHD heater setup to finish the job off

It's coming along nicely,just going to sought the body
out few rust bubbles,and then paint,or if I find a clean
touring shell I'll swap all the nice bits over

I know of a rust-free touring that is for sale in Northants. Cambelt is broken.
It is on Pistonheads at £550.00 and sounds good.
