Hi guys

I've done some looking around the website and can't find an exact answer.

I've got an electric aerial, it has 3 wires Black, White and Red. The black looks like and earth but what are the other two, perhaps power for up and power for down?

2nd question, I have a power probe, what do I need to power up to test the aerial?

Cheers in advance.

The three wires will be for 12V +ve, Earth and signal from head unit. I would suggest black is earth, red is +ve, white is signal. Signal is blue on my aerial.

Connect red and black to the battery, then try touching white to 12V +ve - should raise the antenna. If this works, then you will need to connect the white to the correct lead from the head unit - a real PITA job unless the wire is already in place.

Martin.
