The rear licence plate valence on my car was painted silver by the PO to colour code the car.

I'm really considering either re-spraying the one I have on at the moment black or just buying another black one from a breakers.

I'm sure it isn't a hard task but has anyone got any tips or info for re-spraying my valence black? Paint etc.... Or possible replacement.

Thanks evereyone :)

Sorry, I'm not seeing the difference in the pics. Are you saying you want to paint the lower portion of that valence black? The portion around the muffler area and only up to the crease line ? If so, any can spray paint will work. Though I'd go for a satin trim paint.

You mean behind the number plate? There should be a black plastic insert there anyway. Pick one up for a couple of quid.

edit: or is that just on tourings?

Hmmm... either way has its goods and bads - I prefer the black myself, but the silver one looks cleaner and that little bit more modern. Ever thought about a shiny red one to match the tail lights?

I like the colour coded look myself Dublin. Don't got to the hassle of repainting it back to black if you don't want to keep it silver. You can pick up a 2nd hand one on here for a £fiver max.
