putting the m3 engine in will cost aroud £10-15k mate and the 2.7 is a good swap but why not do a m20b28 instead?

£10-15k sounds a little high, I thought the general opinion was around the £6-7k mark for the S50 swap.

Its the same engine as you have (m20b25) with a m52 2.8 crank and m20 320/323 con rods.

The job requires a strip and rebuild really. So lots of time, money and effort.

I think it's stupid going for a 2.7/2.8 having gone though the trouble myself. It would be better to swap in a newer 24valve 2.5/2.8 from an e36. Probably cheaper too!

I wouldn't put a a 2.0l diff on as it will scream it's tits off on the motorway.

What about turbo?
