Sag, donor engine can be auto or manual, auto may have had a slightly easier life and can be converted relatively easy. Radiator from an E28 is iirc the ideal choice but there have been several rads used.
Probshaft from a e30 m3 is also ideal but a 325i and a 535i one can be cut and welded but will need balancing.
You will also need fabricated engine mounts, chap called beefy on here makes and supplies them.
Suggest you do a search on here though, there is stacks of info and if you run into difficulties plenty of people that will help but only if you help yourself by having a good read of the stuff already posted on here.
Good luck.

This is a commonly asked question.
The usual responses and options / faqs could be made a 'sticky' .. ?
I'm happy to do a write up when I get a bit of time... ?
Any mods out there, what do you think?

you want any of my pics or anything from my thread your welcome.
seems this conversion's getting even more common than i thought it would. as long as its the 320 or lower people are changing. seen too many 325i's getting this conversion done.
