hi all im thinking of re boring and making a new butterfly for the m30 throttle body. The engine is currently completly standard.
Is this worthwhile what gain are to be expected with regard to power, driveabilty etc.
Ive read about 325i bbtb and there seems to be a good response to them being good performance up grade, but i havent found much information for the m30.
I dont think m30 throttle body is available in the Zone shop but i have seen one on american ebay, because of this i will be building one myself or getting a machine shop to do the work.
If this can be done i will try to have a few made to sell on to zoners, not sure of prices or anything yet but if your intrested let me know.
Any information or opinions appreciated cheers.

Easiest would be to swap ITB:s from M88 (E28 M5 engine)...

There have been couple of "plug and play kits" on ebay, for fitting M88 ITB:s to M30..

Yeah im in trade, would of thought so cant make a lot out by that drawing tho, how thick is the plate is the profile critical too. How many do you need are the 12mm holes, clearance holes for M12 thread.

alpina527 hasnt posted on here for a few years judging my by search and it seems like he supplys the bbtb for the zone shop, and the zone shop (evolve) dont list a m30 throttle body.
I believe there is only two different types of m30 throttle body one from the early engine and from the late (1983-93) is this correct?

TBH it's not my drawing so i'm not sure on all the details, i was thinking that 10mm mild steel should be OK with the recessed area being 8mm ?
How much more would it be in stainles steel ?

I beleive that these brakes fit under some 16" wheels but certainly not all!
I hope they fit under my new 17" TSW Councils but I think most 17" wheels are safe from what I've read.
750 calipers are also the same as some 740 and I think some 735 and 540s.
The markings to look for are '60/28/302' as there are two different sizes, I think to do with the thickness of the discs.

spoke to some guys at work and the best way to manufacture these will be cnc machined. Not sure of price yet im going to get some prices for the steel today.
How much do 300mm.de sell these for?
I think a new thread may need starting for this so people know about them.
I also need to know how many of these are wanted.
