Building a m20 2.8 and I have got early high comp pistons, will be using a cat cam, but I am worried the comp ratio be to high ?

the compression ratio is quite high when using the pre facelift pistons at around 10.8-1, but with the overlap of the cam, it should come down a bit.

you could run it on super unleaded. :) your not building it to be economical are you winkeye
