Engine swaps?

This might be an old topic, but I was just wondering what engine swaps folks have done here. I like Drifty325i's V8 car. That's sweet.
Any others?

I'm considering swapping the 1.8 out of my 318i: I've located a 325i in a junkyard that could lend its running gear, or if I wanted to go really crazy, I've got an old SBC lying around...

Ideas, anyone?

more interested in the torque numbers since its a v8
