where is the best place to wire the power for a lamdor sensor? I have currently taken it from the power to the ecu, but it seems to stay on all the time even when the key is out!

I'd suggest through a relay switched from coil positive.

I took a feed off of the heated rear window switch. It was the only convenient thing I could find in the car that was a switched live.

I too would go for a relay which switches on with the key. There's a convenient place for the power to come from for the relay under the bonnet just next to the battery tray (either the battery itself or the distribution point for cars with the bat in the boot)

Mines on the switched ignition, pin 36 of the DME IIRC. ake sure it's got it's own feed, I've seen interference when using dual sources.

OT, Johndrift, someone said you may need a hand with your motor? If so where are you based?

Thanks, Mark.

Use the connector under the battery tray. If you cut off the plug, it's the green and white wire. This connects to one of the relay sockets next to the expansion tank. If you have a relay missing, then it's that one it connects to. If you have three relays, then your in luck.
