A few, as in more than one?? winkeye after you've got yours if there's another usable rad can you let me know?? At the mo I really can't afford to go out and buy a new one and I'm never in the right place at the right time when it comes to breakers.

I would really appreciate it a lot mate :D

Cheers chap :D

Other usable rads are the E34 530/535 but apparently there are two types one fits the other dosen't, E32 730/735 according to my ETK is the same as the E34, E36 M3 rad, E28 535, E24 635.

I reckon there's most probably loads of others aswell that no one's tried yet. I was talking to one lad that knew of someone with the E30 335 conversion using a volvo radiator fitted in the front panel (like the alpina rad) and using the normal viscous fan!!

Currently I've got a standard 325 rad fitted as I had enough room. Today is going to be the day it gets it's first drive (fingers crossed) so will keep an eye on the temperature. This is only temporary until I find the right rad... which may come sooner than I think (dependant on it's performance)

I think it's only later 635 rads that will fit, I saw a nasty OLD rotten 635 in a breakers yard the otherday and the rad looked like it was useless for the conversion.

andy gall is running a e34 rad at present.

it is a bit bigger so you need extra space but it does fit.

I'm also using an E34 535i radiator, with engine position 3.

It's very tight against the distributor cap and I had to chop off the air con belt part of the crank pulley as it did touch the rad under heavy breaking.

yeah i fear the heavy breaking and the dissy cap :?

but it should be fine as the bulk head took a good bashing :?

well i left Gall with the hammer to go get a bigger hammer and when i came back he was swinging like a crazy man.

so i passed him the bigger hammer as it looked like he was having fun and he got going again.....

i just watched as he beat the s**t out my car 8O

worked a treat! :D
