i am wanting to fit a E36 M3 engine so i have a few questions id like to ask you guys in the know.
1, were do i get the engine from (ebay?)
2,what running gear do i need
3, do brakes need up grading
4, is it easier and better to just by a smashed m3 if i can find one.
Any answers or input would be appreciated

Badly rear ended BMWs can have gearbox damage due to impact energy being transmitted forwards through the prop. Just something to bear in mind.
Minimum suspension and brakes spec. should be that of any touring, cab., or 325.

cheers so i buy a 325, a smashed up the rear m3.
so is ebay best bet for the the rear smashed m3?
and about engine mounts will the m3 engine just sit on the exsisting 325 mounts.

Ebay probably isnt the best place to buy anything like this, unless its a reputable company selling on there.
I think one guy on here bought a 3.2 evo engine on ebay only to have the bottom end go not long after - a few grand down the pan and he had to buy another
Best place would be one of the BMW breakers (look in the back TBMW etc) or a breakers local to you that you trust. If you find a cheap S50 engine, its probably cheap for a reason and worth steering clear.
