hi guys, my 316i engine blew so i found a mint 316i engine on a 4door f reg model, which had 1 lady owner and 53000 on clock, so i dropped that in mine and broke the rest of the doner car. i was just wondering as im quite new to engine modding, what could i do to get some more power out of my new engine. ive got a raidhp induction kit, but is there anything else i could do apart from the obvious turboing it??? see im a student and my e30 is the love of my life and my part time wages barely keep it on the road as insurance is a killa being 19 has its badside. so are there any relatively cheap mods you could suggest, and where i could find them,As i see all the chips and power boost valves on ebay but they look tacky. any advice would be great
cheers
matt

Mate. You really wont get enough power out of your engine with bolt on mods for it to be worth the £Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£ I'm afraid
IMO I would fit 325i engine and running gear. And if you cant afford the insurance wait until you can.

not worth fiddling with tbh.. lower it and enjoy the handling and conservation of momentum!

do what i ahve done, uprate all the suspension,
ive put on mine, 51mm struts of a 325se, including the rear discs.
bilstein shocks from a sport,
spax 40mm lowering springs,
fitted 325 anti roll bars (my god what a difference considering they 316 doesnt havea rear anti roll bar)
and i changed every bush to powerlfex items,
and ill tell you something, non of my mates in the fiesta's, saxo's corsa's etc can keep up through the bends especially roundabouts.
thats what i would advise, leave the engine alone till you can put a 2.5 in there like im waiting to do.
