gear selector for m30 conv

guys a bit of help here.

it could be a simple question but i am hoping to start the m30 conversion next week and i need to know if my gear selector will fit?

i have a 1.8 right now and will the selector be too long?
i know the m30 one is too long but will i need to get hold of a 6 pot selector?


part: the bar the gear stick pivots on and connects to the gear box.

will i need a m20 bar or will the 318 part be the right length?

my E30 325i gear linkages fitted on to my 535i gearbox and brought the gear lever out in the correct place.

cheers dude i know the 325 one fits but is the 318 the same length?

i dont want to do the cut and shut job you did as getting the length right may be difficult
