I have scanned over a load of threads and all of the info is there, scattered across literally hundreds of pages.
It would be awesome if someone who has done the conversion or knows someone who has done it, could amass all of this info into one single post saying what the problems are, there are usually several solutions, it would be good if they could list all solutions(or a few) and even better some pics of the stages of conversion.
Then you could make it a sticky and the questions would all be answered in one place, easy to access etc.
Basically i am looking to put an M50/M52 into an E30 and i want to know exactly what is required and i am sure many other people would be really greatful for the info too.
Tell me to bugger off if this is a steep request though.
Cheers
Alex
Can someone make a list of M50/52 conversion parts please

Also it would be great to know if it is any different doing the conversion to a 316/i, 318i(s), 320, 323, 325 or 327 too. Sure there must be differences?!
Thanks loads for any replies

Have a look at my project pages on www.e3024v.com - that lists practically everything you need.
Essentially though you need:
M52 engine with loom, ECU, EWS gubbins, key etc.
E36 gearbox (ZF (328i/M3) or Gatrag (325i))
Propshaft (E30 M3 or E36 328i with the centrebearing swapped for an E30 one)
E36 328i radiator. If you get one with the integral expansion tank it's neater.
Various E36 hoses.
Modified E36 exhaust manifold. The standard E36 328i tubular stainless steel manifold is the easiest (cheapest) to work with.
That's basically it.
