316i lux auto touring.... started developing her..
well decided that the lack of clutch pedal made for a boring drive..
so wanted to convert it, al fun and games.. but also wanted more powerful engine compared to the small m40
so on saturday went on the mission of removing it form the donor car..

removed the engine loaded into teh back of a van and cracked on removing mroe stuff..
this maybe alike blasphemy to you E30 lovers ecspecially of the Is.. however to get the subframe off.. we decided to do this...
it was fun and amusing...
anywho next day beckoned..
travveled form pylmouth.. ( home of the donor) to burnham on sea.. where the victim was waiting...
removed the crappy m40 first.. auto bo was mahoosive...
then pushed the old mucker out the way to get van on the drive to remove the new engine..
she looks so empty..
anywho carried on.. howeever as quick as we were going the quciker the ehavens started to open... as far as we got was...
pedal box clutch master etc etc.. teh brake was the hardest thing of all things lol...
so now i have threee pedals..
engine is in and on the mounts however not bolted on.. all plugs are in.. hoses on but not secured.. so as soon as it stops raingin will be test of time to see if it starts first time..
only problems we did come across.. WAS.. forgetting clutch resevoir, so need one of them, and also part number four on the gear assembly where the linkage arm slides into the chassis to make it rigid.. forgot to take this..
