As above. I'm thinking about attempting this. Never being one to shirk from a challenge 8)

Especially considering E30 diffs are drying up/getting dear; and with all the M50/S50 based conversions going on I think it could be worth looking in to.

No doubt it's already been done, does anyone have any further input or maybe a link to more information. Failing that I'm going to head off to the scrappies with a stihl saw and go about it the old fashioned way.

Once complete I should be able to fabricate the whole thing again, which would benefit the zone - so pitch in your ideas.

Dont fancy rebuilding one into an E30 casing then Dameon?

Ive got 2 diffs waiting for this job, just not enough time or space at the mo

That is meant to be possible, but I guess its a specialist thing?

i was wondering about this very thing the other day

i will be doing an m52 or s50 swap into mine some time into the future (which one depends on funds) and the diff thing is one that i can see causing problems.i was thinking about doing the internals swap but not having 2 diffs side by side to compare im not sure if it will be possible.
No longer self employed but still available for welding duties.

Some dude done this ages ago on an m50 swap .( swapped e36 internals into e30 case )
