pins 47 and 48
wire the trigger in blue to yellow, and red to black.
check comms, crank engine, no rpms... reverse wires , repeat the cranking test.
I Emailed this to you last week, did you not recieve it dude ?
**** EDIT***** '87 ECU with part number ending 073 ? or 173 3 row 55 pin connection ??????
if its an 073, then the trigger from a post 88 car will be required, rob the front pulley and crank sensor from any post 88 6 cyl car, and retrofit( all swop in easy), then connect the MS trigger to the "new" plug( tip: a cutoff OE TPS plug is spot on.. ) and crank again.

Don´t you think a complete screened cable is better?
totally easy to find in a junker.

I tought you meant to cut the connector of the TPS and use new unscreened wires to the MS.

while on ms does anyone no of a good reliable usb adaptor as i dont have the serial port on my laptop?

13mm socket and 4" extension is all you'll need fella
bit of a backache job but an hour tops will rip the required parts from the donor.
fit the new 60 tooth trigger wheel and VR sensor to your block( the holes are there already.. ) and wire the sensor in.
mystery solved maybe dude, how did we/I miss the pre facelift part
