no pug here, i used a pair of shitroen ones!!!
e30/32/34 aircon ones work well. you must have one of those lurking? afaik they're the same as used on the E30 m3. i would have used one of these but my E32 donor one was stuffed, though i did use the two speed fan switch and resistor setup from it to run twin speeds on the shitroen ones. i suspect this fan and resistor would also work well with an aftermarket one to allow a slow running (quiet) setting. at full whack (very rare) mine sound like i have a jet engine under the bonnet which isn't great for stealth!
