In a couple of weeks im going to be converting a pre facelift 318i(M10) to 318is(M42).
I will be changing the full running gear inc front xmember/roll bar/PAS set up etc, basically swapping the whole lot as one!
I just need advice on wiring the iS engine loom to the M10 car loom.
Is the principle the same as on my M50 - pre facelift,as in matching pin numbers?
If so would you be able to tell me which-which?
Only other connections will be at the battery?
Brian,Advice please!

I posted something similar to this yesterday.
All you need to connect for the new engine to run is basically the earths and battery lives at the battery from the iS loom, and the green switched ignition live wire at the C101. There's also the green/purple output to the fuel pump from the C101, and the black/yellow starter signal into the C101 from the ignition switch. Everything else on the C101 is instrumentation.
