just started the 3.5 transplant on my 325i sport and was wondering has anybody ever run the m30 with a supercharger?can this be done and if so what mods would it need, also i seen a 635i in a mag that was bored out to 3.6 ,any one know where you would source pistons for this.

I've not heard of one being done but a Jag V8 S/C would make nice power i guess ? 8)

For pistons you will probobly have to look in the 'states ?

no reason why it couldn't work, a Turbocharged M30 is quite a weapon :twisted:

not sure how much space would be avail up front to add a 10 rib drive belt though , nothing taking a hammer and massaging the bulhead wouldn't cure :lol:

As for the 3.6, never looked into a cap increase on the big 6 myself, certainly given the stretch an M20 will take, its entirely feasable, just need to find the right combo of parts :D

spadge told me he had a supercharged 535i once :D

in the (very) long term, i'd like to fit a jag or merc blower to mine and run it on LPG, just to be awkward! :D

Proper 'sleeper' that was complete with plush brown velour seats and a lovely golden shine :P
Only a small blower but iirc it had a rolling road print-out with 270 ish hp 8)

was that 270bhp running with a standard motor or any tuning on it spadge,seen a few chargers off merc kompressers on ebay anyone know if one of these would do or would you need one of a car with the same engine cc.
