Sh!t john they are nice, did you do the welding? If so that is seriously impressive, I wish I could weld rather than burn holes

Whats left to do, prop and exhaust or is the list too exhaustive to think about?

Hi Jon, its been a while mate. I cut the plates and tacked it all in then the welder I work with beefed them up. He's also modifying a 318 gearbox crossmember for the dogleg box ( sod buying an m3 one ).
things left to do 1. locate battery in boot
2. source prop
3. source rad
4. fit interior
5. fabricate exhaust using audi A6 backbox, subaru impreza and landrover defender bits I've got at work :teehee:

hope to finish by the summer lol

about time John :P

those mounts aren't going to be breaking are they 8)

liking the sloted mountings.

Alex, the mount brackets are a complicated shape to describe using lengths angles etc. a few people on here have made their own, myself included, but it's perhaps easier just to start from scratch than try to copy someone else's design...

not much use copying mine as i initially made them for the older e28 engine, then modified them to suit the e34 block, i.e. they're a bit of a mess :D

Cheers for the comments fellas, Toby the slots are a temporary thing once the rad is in and I'm happy with the engine position ,I will weld a small plate over the slot with just a hole in it for the engine mount. If you know what I mean.
