when using e28 single mass flywheel with e34 m30 and e34 5 speed do you have to alter anything on clutch ???

use an e28 535i/m535i clutch.
i have e34 m30/e28 535i fly and clutch kit/e34 getrag 260 box. all works perfectly.

I can vouch for that too, an E34 pressure plate will need modifying to fit fit the E28 flywheel. And as it's the ideal time to fit a new clutch anyway it isn't worth going for anything other than an E28 M30 clutch.
Just remember, if your engine came from an auto, to fit a spigot bearing in the crankshaft!

i agree with all of the above apart from the E34 pressure plate modification as i've not had one to play with so i can't comment.
