how is best to tackle this? i never even took mine off when i fitted the engine!
i have now got sick of repeatedly splodging RTV in the vacuum leak to stop the whistling i get! a lump of the inlet gasket on number 1 cylinder has 'gone'!!!!!
i may as well get some nice crinkle paint on it too!
i reckon pulling the servo off 1st will help, any other tips? especially how to tackle the injectors and wiring over the top of the head...
removing a M30 inlet manifold in-situ

I used to take the servo off to take the manifold off but i've found if you losen the engine mount nut and jack the engine up you just have enough clearance to wiggle the manifold off.
For taking the wiring off, remove the top of the conduit thingy, disconnect the electrical plugs(CPS/temp senders/etc), pull as much of the wiring out as you can so you can get to the rubber boots that go over the top of the injector plugs, pull the boots off the injector plug, also remove the little plastic clip things.
When you do this the conduit thingy will move out of the way a bit so you can get to the pesky injector plug clips, ideally you need some of those fine hook type tools to move the clips but you can get away with using a small flat blade screw driver or bradall. Be carefull the clips don't ping off so you lose them
Mark your fuel lines.
Take your heater pipes off to give you more room to get to the lower nuts.
One of those magnetic probe things can be handy to make sure you don't drop any nut's/clips.
