Hi guys, i'm a bit of a newbie and looking for some advice on how to get a few more ponies from my E30. Bit about the car first.

Shes an '89 2 door saloon, been lowered 40mm, has a 3/4 stainless Powerflow exhaust, pipercross induction kit, stripped out boot and rear seats/carpet/speakers/belts, matte black re-spray and a DTM front splitter. Body wise all i'm after next is an M3 evo spoiler and skirts. I'd just like the car to do like stink. On a bit of a budget though.

Oil change/service is due.

you wont get that much from a 318 unfortunately, not sure if the zone does a chip for the 318 :? wont really "go like stink" either way unless you do the easiest thing, a 2.5 swap

At the moment the budget is quite tight, however, i have a few contacts in the car/bike industry that can get me a few bits cheap enough. A swap to the 2.5 is really appealing but for the moment i'm just looking for a few ponies.

A chip sounds like a good starting point. I think superchips make one for the 318 but i'll have to check. I do have on the agenda to get rid of that awful powerflow system and get a full supersprint one. Sound better too. Is it worth going cams and pullys too at the same time??? Throttle bodies too. Anyone know of reputable dealers for this stuff?

you can get a 2.5 for the price of a supersprint system

will probably cost you less than £500 for a 2.5
