Im supercharging my 318is M42 aiming to run 7psi of intercooled boost 10 psi max. Ive been looking into a thick head gasket but unable to source apart from stealers special order megga bucks. Either way I'm going to have a look inside renew profile gasket and possibly change to one piece valves. The question is can anyone suggest a source of thick head gaskets, do i need non stretch head bolts and if so can anyone suggest a supplier?. Cheers appletree :D

If you ring ECP they do them for the M30 so i assume they do them for the M42 ?

Don't bother looking for them on the web site or catalogue because the thicker gaskets arn't listed.

The ETK says the thicker gasket is 0.3mm thicker, not sure how much this will effect your C/R (if thats what you are aiming to change ?) ?

I'm having mine made for the R1 engine. Not a gasket as such, actually a 1.5 or 2mm (can't remember which, need to check my notes) decompression plate to go between gasket and head. It aint cheap though at ~£150.

I'll dig out the suppliers name if you like, I've not dealt with them befor so can't vouch for how good they are.
