Here is a nice cheap new rad. Is this the best one for me to use for my S50B32 engine conversion? The engine and associated pipework I have came from an earlier MCoupé.
What other options for the cooling system do I have? I like the idea of using an E36 6 pot radiator that has the expansion tank built in, to save space and tidy up the under-bonnet area. Is this an option?
Many thanks
Jai

Although it may tidy things up, it also reduces the cooling capacity of the radiator (smaller core). It may work fine, but I personally wouldn't risk it.jaistanley wrote:I like the idea of using an E36 6 pot radiator that has the expansion tank built in, to save space and tidy up the under-bonnet area. Stick with the proper rad for the job. BMW made it that size for a reason

You've convinced me!
I'll order that come payday. Seems a reasonable price doesn't it? Not OEM quality I guess but I'm sure it'll do?
The header tank from my 325i is in minty McMint condition, can I use that in it's existing location and re-pipe the system to suit (ie is that what you guys did?)? The MRoadster the engine came out of had the header tank up where our servos are if I recall correctly.

I got mine from ECP, and it was a genuine BMW part. Someone had used a marker pen over the BMW logo on the label, but it was clearly genuine. I think the BMW ones are made by Behr in Germany (mine is).jaistanley wrote:Not OEM quality I guess but I'm sure it'll do?
