Here is a nice cheap new rad. Is this the best one for me to use for my S50B32 engine conversion? The engine and associated pipework I have came from an earlier MCoupé.

What other options for the cooling system do I have? I like the idea of using an E36 6 pot radiator that has the expansion tank built in, to save space and tidy up the under-bonnet area. Is this an option?

Many thanks

Although it may tidy things up, it also reduces the cooling capacity of the radiator (smaller core). It may work fine, but I personally wouldn't risk it.

Stick with the proper rad for the job. BMW made it that size for a reason :D

You've convinced me!

I'll order that come payday. Seems a reasonable price doesn't it? Not OEM quality I guess but I'm sure it'll do?

The header tank from my 325i is in minty McMint condition, can I use that in it's existing location and re-pipe the system to suit (ie is that what you guys did?)? The MRoadster the engine came out of had the header tank up where our servos are if I recall correctly.

I got mine from ECP, and it was a genuine BMW part. Someone had used a marker pen over the BMW logo on the label, but it was clearly genuine. I think the BMW ones are made by Behr in Germany (mine is).
