so what benifit is a m50 engine over the m30 engine ?

my e36 is starting to make a very very light knocking after holding it at 145 for 11 mins and averaging 12 to 130 from london to blackpool so im gonna plan what im gonna do with it for when it does die

to be fair it has done 145k so im well impressed,,,, working at fords ive never seen a ford N/A than can do over 130mph when it hits 100k,,, gotta be given credit to the bmw engines :)
