524td turbo questions

Hi ,
Whats the std BMW 524td exhaust manifold and AiResearch turbocharger as fitted to the M21 turbo diesel engine. , i beleive they the turbocharger was internally wastegated T3 variant -? ,
Is the std turbo to restrictive on a 2.7 lump or was are its limits , been offered one m fold and std turbo , whats the going price of these at present

The turbo is waaaaaaay too small for even a 2.7 unfortunately.

The manifold would be useful though, and if you could get the crank too you've got the basis for a bullet proof bottom end, or you could sell it to me winkeye

No ideas on prices though :(

may be a flipped manifold would be better option after talking to o Dipps about it , any one gotb a ny pics of the flipped one , what limits / problems on these ? any one knocking up adaptor plates ?

Is the diesel manifold that 4 turbo bolt one or the 3 bolt (think there are two types anyway!)

If it's the 3 bolt then you're probably better off flipping the standard manifold as I guess you'd need an adaptor either way?

if the guy wants £250 for a 324td manifold and turbo you will be better off with the flip manifold as you will be better off money wise
