Hi
I asked this in Tech, but no body seems to know , and as u boys are pushing on , u might have found it limit for me ?
Are all Switchable auto boxs the same ? for all years and models e30, e32 , e28 etc
Or was there changes over the years ?
Also were there any weak points or upgrades to do with these boxs ?, which is more reliable the std or switchable auto box ?

would any Switchable auto box fitt? ie i ve been offered one of E28 M525 85 model, is that like to be different at bell housing ? to a m2.5 lump
just out of interest Where M535 Motronic like E30 s? or KE , OR
LE JETRONIC???

As I plan to fit A 6 PORT NOS KIT to an eta thats on an auto box at present , to sort out the problems be fore building a good 2.7 but am concerned about what a std switchable auto will take, or any mods i should do first ?

ANY ONE PUSHED AN AUTO ? Will start + 50 then 75 then if its still ok 100? :mad: , then pickup pieces and build a new lump and gearbox?

I found out by trail and pratice the the bigger cc cars run much bigger torque convertors , so have fitted a 2.7 in place of the small 2L one
to try it out
