735 into 318 ??

hi ive a c reg 735 auto and a 1989 318i so obviously want to put the 735 engine into the e30 questions are

1) is it poss for this to be done

2) can i use the 318 manual box or do i have to use the 735 auto

3) take it id req engine mounts made up , who makes them ?

1 ) Yes,

2) It itԚ´s a M40 box then now, you should find a M30 or a M10 box

3) you can buy them on the zone I belive

euan have a search on the forum first, it's a common conversion and you should find most of what you need here.

A few of us have done or are doing this conversion and having a good read of some of our threads will be worth while.

I would try and get a e34 or e32 3.5 engine. Is the e23 running a distributor? if it is you may have trouble closing the bonnet.
