Anyone interested in a little relay & sensor to automaticaly start electric cooling fans??
Will have a variable resistor so you can choose what temp they kick in at.
I could make a batch of these if interest is high enough.

dont really see a need for this m8.
all you need is a thermo switch from an m3 or aircon set up on a 5 0r 7 and wire it through the e30 fuse box.
it has all the fuses and connection there to run an electric fan properly.
could be wrong though

All the fuses and connections to do it twice actually. BMW switch gives you a choice of two temps, and all the fan has to do is keep the radiator temp slightly lower than the engine thermostat temp, so that the engine stat can do its job.bigdek wrote:

Ok...
Could someone post all the parts required to do the two stage fan control using BMW parts then? I'd like to use as many oem parts as possible, coupled with either an M3 aircon fan setup or a pacet/spal/whatever fan. (for my S50 conversion)
Many thanks!

Temp switch , found on all later BMWԚ´s with aux fan
at least 2 relays
wiring to and from 12v+ and ground-
you can use the stock places in the fuse box just have to open it and see how it works,
or mount them anywhere you want where they will not be harmed by weather or dirt,
check the ETMԚ´s for the wiring diagrams
