Is anyone else using the larger case ZF box with their M50 install? :?:

I'm trying to find the right combination of shifting arm carrier & selector rod to use.
Anyone happen to know, to save me hours & hours of searching?

Im pretty sure I used E30 stuff, with the E36 M3 lever - my box is the ZF 5spd box.

I had both the E36 and E30 stuff, so I just mixed and matched until the lever was in the centre of the hole in the tunnel, but Im 90% sure it was the E30 carrier and selector rod.

Hmm, thats interesting. Im sure the only E36 part I used was the lever.

I will check over the weekend what parts I have left over and whilst the car is up on ramps will try and see what bits are fitted.

I got hold of an E36 325 arm, but it puts the gearlever too far to the right (turns out it's a coupe one which is different to the saloon one). Doh !!! :o:
A std E30 arm brings the lever central but too far to the rear.
With both arms, the gearlever has that much travel, it's hitting the front & rear of the console.

I think the next step is to buy a 328i arm & see what thats like.
Might as well get the Z3 1.9 lever while I'm there.

It's only money.......................
