Holset H1c turbo

I know a few of you boys are running one on your m20's, currently sourcing a turbo for my project and want to know what these are like. ie how laggy, what sort of power(with supporting mods)

Also any experience with the hx25w

hx25w be too small, hx35/40 be better.

I have a H1C, not installed yet though.

What motor are you running the H1C on and what boost?

Expect to achieve 1bar between 3500-4000rpm depending on configuration.

Full boost @ 4k on a 18cm3 housing.

I've seen 1.5bar @ 5k and there was plenty more to have if you can take it

Just make sure you check your sizes out before you buy as some aren't configured quite right for our purpose.

Its a m20 2.5, pulling it out of the car as we speak, what internal work is required to hold 1.5 bar.

No idea as I'm yet to find out but from the info I have read you will need to weld up the water channels in the head, fit M50/h beam rods and poss low comp pistons or atleast forged ones. Head bolts, gasket etc is all the basc stuff. As soon as mine is running a bar again I'm gonna do the desctruction test on the setup I have, last one was fun but not planned but atleast I can tell people where stock limt is.

Used to be about 4k before full boost but now it' more like 3k, spools @ 2.2k in higher gears.
