john i have complet 325i set up ready to go in the for sale section plus i aslo have a eta crank
for the conversion there are two ways to go
either eta crank late 325 pistons 320 head cheap 2.7 = roughly 190bhp + bbtb +6branch may be more
or ete crank any 325 pistons and a machined 325i expensive bexley style 2.7 = roughly 2.10bhp with a few other mods bbtb +6 branch + chipped ecu and maf conversion

yeah but it drops a little when you fit the 325i head as the eta uses a 320i style head as you know..
compression ratio is still more then enough with a 325i head tho!!

how much power can you actually get from a 2.5 without doing the 2.7 thing if i do do the 2.7 am i best off looking for a 320 instead

Do a forum search john-rambo- all the questions you have raised have already been addressed - problem is the search facility doesn't seem to recognise numbers (ie 2.5 - 2.7 doesn't come up). Simply posting 'new' topics makes the real information harder to find for everyone. Gentleman known as Argos is the authority on this at the moment and he has completed several different conversions.
here is an example of threads

there are more so have a look
