Hi, currently looking at intercoolers for a turbo project, has any body got any experience in what works. What is the max size possible to fit. Looking at a Ford transit intercooler (450mm x 200mmx75mm), any other possibilties.

Volvo intercoolers tend to be quite thin but do have a large surface area (don't know off hand) Might be worth looking around a few local scrapyards for a turbocharged Volvo

Volvo is # 1 Choice, 740/760/940 turbo , two sizes, 7 litres and 8.7 litres, both fit sweet

second choice, Sprinter 311CDI or BMW 330D units, the latter are a lot smaller though dude
