Just acquired a E30/M50 and before I go pouring gallons of oil into it, I thought I'd check that the dipstick is reading correctly!

Anyone know the part number for the dipstick you need for a M50 conversion?

Thanks

Andy

Good question... You mean becuase the engine is at a different angle of tilt, or because you are using the 5 series sump?

I don't know for sure yet but I beleive you use the 5 series 525 dipstick.

Engine will be at the correct angle if you use the E36 mounting arms and dont use any spacers on the mounts (about 20°)

If you use an E34 sump then you will need an E34 dipstick
